Original 19thc Civil War Confederate hand written letter dated Aug 25 (no year but its 1863) from a soldier in the Army of Northern Virginia-1st Virginia Cavalry,Co I to his Pa back home in Georgia...its a 4 page letter from Amosville,Virginia thats fairly easy to read..loaded with 1st hand battle accounts " Polhamus Artillery Corps in a duel with yanks had 10 men killed ".." Yankees stood thier ground -We reformed and Charged Again ".." Heard train whistle and we rode to the train and fired on it ".."
