Original 19thc Civil War Confederate hand written letter dated June 8 1863 from a soldier in the Army of Northern Virginia-1st Virginia Cavalry,Co I to his sister back home in Georgia...its a 1 page 2 sided letter thats fairly easy to read....lots of great stuff here...hes with Gen Stuart at Brandy Station-they went in the field for review and thier regiment was picked best..." Gen Bob Lee Was On The Field Yesterday "...he tells her about the just created regiment uniform patches..." red felt about 1"-the 1st is a star,2nd a cross,3rd a heart-i dont know what the 4th is and the 5th is a half moon"...lots of other details..its 14 x 9 and its clean and readable with normal wear-has original fold lines and creases with small seam tear..looks and displays well and is guaranteed original and authentic ...Shipping is via USPS in US and overseas…check listing for other period Civil War items including several Confederate documents...always glad to combine on multiple buys when possible
