    Description

    Envelope with January 1863 postmark addressed to Dr. J. S. Jamison, Brigade Surgeon, U.S.A., Piatt Brigade, Whipples Division, 3rd Army Corps, Army of the Potomac. It has an official stamp seal on the back from Washington DC but I can't really make it out - perhaps you'll have better luck.
    Condition is worn as would be expected. There is also a bit of postal hinge on the reverse side. Please view photos for more condition details.
