Original 19thc Civil War Confederate hand written letter dated Oct 17 1864 from a soldier in the Army of Northern Virginia-1st Virginia Cavalry,Co I to his " Sis " back home in Georgia...its a 3 page letter thats fairly easy to read....hes writing from Rockingham County,Va and has nice details .. " had the pleasure of leading a charge at my boyhood home-whipped them badly -our loss 14 men wounded-they had 36 that we buried with a good many injured "....other details and talks about folks back home..its 8 x 5 and is clean and readable with normal wear-has original fold lines ..looks and displays well and is guaranteed original and authentic ...Shipping is via USPS in US and overseas…check listing for other period Civil War items including several Confederate documents...always glad to combine on multiple buys when possible
