    Description

    1864 letter signed by S.R. Pinckney as Colonel of the 95th New York National Guard, addressed to Horatio Seymour (then NY governor).  Letter relates to detailing a portion of the unit to receive the reamins of General Wadsworth (killed in action at the Wilderness).  On the unit's letterhead, with some folds; attached at top from prior mounting with signature page in front.
