Description
Came from the GMC motorhome factory. It was a table used to build front frame sections and other parts as dedicated fixtures were changed as they needed them. Main rails were built from 3/4" mild steel plate. Most of the rest is C channel and all is boxed. Very strong and ridged. It was surface cut dead flat and parallel. Then series of holes were drilled in repeating succession across the top. There is a combination of 1/2"x20 threaded holes and blanks that were drilled and had 1/2 id hardened inserts pressed in to locate their fabricated fixtures. All holes are dead on front to back and side to side. I used this to build many frames and it just made life easy. Build a quick fixture for a frame, or just to hold a couple rails. Then thread or drop in an allen bolt either side, then simply hook on a tape and measure your points of bracket placement. Or just checking level and squareness. Use a square to check distance from either side or height with dead on accuracy. You couldn't build this table for -k given the equipment it would take to match what General Motors already put into what they would consider a simple fixture. You will never find another one like this anywhere for sale. I have a tow motor and can assist in shipping. Also work with Interstate Towing Based in Twinsburg. They cover a lot of area.
