Plant in well drained yet moist soil, A fine almost silt-like soil seems to be best Shade to Partial shade to full sun the more sun the more moisture needed. Beautiful in a woodland setting

When a plant is collected the root system is disturbed, the plants are weakened. When a plant has a root system that has been disturbed, all resources go into repairing the root system, meaning the plant will wilt and lose all top growth. This leads to the scenario every buyer dreads, "I planted and watered, but now I just have dead sticks in the ground" I may charge a little more, but I take the time to collect plants, "heal" them in, let them lose top growth if that is what they need, and only ship them once new top growth and or root growth has begun. This makes it easier on the plant to be shipped and replanted. And hopefully keeps the "dead stick" syndrome from happening to you!
