    ANTIQUE ENGLISH 18K BLACK ENAMEL IN MEMORY OF HAIR LOCKET MOURNING RING c1840
    An antique English, solid 18 carat gold (tests thereabouts) mourning ring; finely made, with ornate trifurcated shoulders flanking a head decorated with black enamel around the motto 'In Memory Of', all surrounding a tiny glass locket holding a hair memento. The back of the back is engraved with the initials 'JSD'.
    Good quality, so collectible & wearable too!
    CONDITION
    : Generally very good. Slightest signs of wear commensurate with age and use. Some scratches to glass, one side a little sunken. One or two dents to head edges. Shank shape a little off, of no consequence when on

    : Around 1840's. Not marked.

    : Head 13 x 13 mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.
