    Description

    ABOUT:
Magnificent sparkling antique cluster ring in 14k gold with 15 old rose cut diamonds in a closed back setting surrounding a central creamy iridescent natural pearl.  Of the 15 diamonds, there are two on each side set into the shoulders of the ring. Looking through the little pierced details in the gallery, you can see the diamonds are foiled, and the back of the ring face is closed.  Also looking at it from the back, the pearl is attached to the setting with a post.
This is an antique piece from the turn of the century / Art Nouveau period that I acquired in Europe.  It is marked with the Fox Head hallmark for 14k gold used between 1872 and 1922 in the Astro-Hungarian empire.  The hallmark is a bit worn but I've seen in many times so it was decipherable to me.
    Antique box not included.

    MEASUREMENTS:
Ring is currently about a size 5 1/4. The ring face is about 7mm in diameter and it really sparkles.  It stands about 6mm tall off the finger with the raised pearl.  The center pearl is about 3.5mm in diameter.  The surrounding diamonds are small, about 1.5mm.
    IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Please note that all my pieces are in estate condition, especially considering age of over 100 years.  Typical old hand cut diamonds with some natural inclusions, the diamonds present as complete, really sparkly with nice coloring, no dingy or yellowing tinge at all and no deterioration to the foil back.  Looking at the back inside under magnification, I can see some adhesive inside.  This does not affect the appearance of the ring at all because it is a closed back ring and it does not seep out anywhere into the setting at all.  The pearl is attached with a post so I wonder if it started to spin on the post that they secured it but again no visible issues or damage.  Just being super picky so the buyer has all the details described to my best ability.
But of course due to age - Please note this piece is not in mint condition.
I would be delighted if you'd follow me in my store.  Thanks for stopping by!
