This Faradic battery had evolved over the years.
This is the first version and the earliest.
It is in a solid oak case and the battery drawer was designed to be removed and new batteries installed. All the wires to the batteries were made in the drawer and there were sliding contacts inside the unit as well as the two thumbscrews  were the contacts for the batteries.
It has a wheel rheome and a singing rheome set of points.
Later units were made in much thinner cheap wooden cases and the battery drawer was eliminated and you had to take the top panel off to install batteries.
Usually the wheel rheome and contact are missing.
This unit is all original and very nice!
The batteries have been gutted but the outer paper cases are still there for looks.
