    Description

Mirage 40428 1/400 Orp Sokol Polish WW2 Submarine
This auction is for one open kit as shown, purchased new that way. The Orp Sokol was a British Urchin-class submarine leased to the Polish government and which served very sucessfully during WW2. This is Mirage's 2000-something reboxing of Aga's original 1990-something kit and differs from the original mainly by the addition of a new resin bow and main deck, and a small sheet of photo-etch containing railings and the like (2nd and 3rd pictures). This is a good-looking model just under six inches long. Decals (3rd picture), in new condition, provide markings for both Orp Sokol (N97) and Orp Dzik (P52). If you build WW2 submarines - or just want a moderately small sub to go alongside your modern subs, this will be an unusual addition to your fleet! The box and contents are in new condition and this kit's lived its entire life in a smoke-free house. Build it!
