I got this so I could do my daughter's hand and foot prints. It worked great but not everything showed up. I'm considering buying another for my dogs paw prints.

this ink pad can be used again and again. the kit only includes 2 small pieces of cardstock, but if you mess up, you can use your own cardstock and keep trying. my baby squirms a lot so i think we had to do his footprint 15x and his handprint 20x before we got ones that were perfect!
Makes a great keepsake, but requires patience!

I purchased this set to make hand and foot prints of my little one. The kit was very easy to use, but does take a lot of patience and practice. Only two 4x6 white card stock are included with the ink pad - to make the prints turn out nicely, you'll definitely use both sides...and, if you're like me, you'll even cut up the included cardboard packaging (which also happens to be white card stock, if you're creative enough, haha). The issue wasn't with the kit itself, which really is easy to use: use a bit of tape or a binder clip to clip the card stock and ink pad together, for stability. Place the child's (or pet's) hand or foot on the pad, holding it still long enough and press gently on their hand/foot, then pull away the pad and card carefully. The pad peels away from the card cleanly, leaving no mess on the kid or you. Takes about 24 hours to fully dry. Any smudges can be removed with a pencil eraser. The real issue is doing this with a squirming infant! After a couple of tries, I waited until the wiggle worm was asleep - and made the pictured prints. All in all, it was a good price for what you get. I would give five stars, if more card stock was provided, as you could use the ink pad quite a few more times. This will make for a treasured item and is a great gift. Just be ready for a challenge!

Worked very well for newborn prints. One improvement coud be a square surface instead to accommodate a larger foot or open toddler hand, very small surface area.

This was super easy to use! Doesn’t leave ink on baby and makes a great gift. I recommend waiting until your little one falls asleep to get a good print.
