PELARGONIUM PANICULATUM The Giant Pelargonium

Description

This winter the rains have been great for our plants. The plants are plumped up, colorful, and healthy. The Pelargoniums are especially nice. The plants offered here are very succulent and thick stemmed. This is the largest species of Pelargonium.
Pelargonium namibensis comes from the very dry Namib Desert in Africa, as you would expect. My largest plants in the ground have reached about 5 feet tall and 6 inches thick. They will stay a lot smaller if you keep them potted. The hummingbirds love the Pelargonium flowers of all species, even though they are small.
It can be grown in the ground in frost-free areas, otherwise pots are fine.
