Eucalyptus deglupta (Rainbow Eucalyptus) hails from the rainforests of Mindanao, which is the southernmost and easternmost island in the Philippine island group. This tree has been reported to withstand light frosts but cannot survive a hard freeze. The unique multi-hued bark is the most distinctive feature of the tree. Patches of outer bark are shed annually at different times, showing a bright green inner bark. This then darkens and matures to give blue, purple, orange and then maroon tones. Grow indoors or out. Hardy in zones 9-10. Trim as needed. Prefers full sun. Keep evenly moist.
