    Description

    Original Civil War Document. April 1862.
    This is an original piece that was found in a box of old ephemera from a barn in Northeastern Pa.
    This document is clear with minor browning where the folds lie.
    The paper is beige. It reads in part- Comissioned Officers present and absent, accounted for by name.
    Alterations since last return of Company 8, 16th Infantry --from what I can read.
    The ink is light and I am not familar with such documents.
    Names are listed as well as remarks.
    On the flip side it reads Return of Captain ....and Regiment of Massachusetts Volunteers Enlisted Men on (Extra Daily Duty) all accounted for by name.
    The photos do not do it justice.
    For its age, it is really in excellent shape.
    I have found another, similar and will post it also today.
