XANTHOSOMA FLAVOMACULATUM, Naturally VARIEGATED, Beautiful, Rare Aroid Plant!!!

For those of you who like 'em rare, here's something you'll want to see. I was traveling in Colombia nearly 15 years ago and ran across this stunning plant in a friend's collection.The spectacular white markings on the foliage made this plant really stand out, and I was fortunate to acquire a couple tubers of this amazing beauty. I've been propagating it slowly ever since, and I'm offering it on eBay for only the second first time. This plant flowered in my collection and was identified as
Xanthosoma flavomaculatum
. A mature specimen can grow nearly two feet tall but will be quite happy in a 4-5" pot.
Unfortunately, the friend who provided me with the original tubers has no information about where this species grows in nature. Thus far, I've been growing it under intermediate to cool conditions (summertime highs up to the high 80s; winter lows to 50) with excellent results. For me, this species grows well in a peat-based potting mix with extra perlite that holds moisture but also provides good drainage. This species can go dormant when temperatures drop in the fall, and I keep the potting mix slightly moist during the winter, even when the plants aren't in active growth.
This gorgeous aroid is very rare and will add pizzazz to any plant collection. The first five photos show my largest plant, with its beautiful variegated leaves, patterned petiole and elegant inflorescence. You are bidding on the plant in photos 6-10, a vigorous specimen in a 3.25" pot. This plant will be shipped potted to protect the root system.
